Jollygunj — Adda Vibes, Park Street Flavours & Rooftop Scenes in JP Nagar
Jollygunj JP Nagar brings Kolkata’s Park Street vibes to Bengaluru with rooftop adda scenes, Calcutta chops, biryani & signature cocktails.
What’s The Vibe?
If Kolkata’s Park Street had a Bengaluru cousin, it would probably look like Jollygunj.
From the moment you enter the JP Nagar outlet, you realise this isn’t just another bar in South Bengaluru. It’s a sprawling rooftop space blending colonial-style architecture with classic Calcutta adda energy — think exposed brick walls, heavy woodwork, winding staircases, balcony seating, and a chandelier-style canopy crowning the central bar.
The space stretches across two floors and can seat close to 800 guests, yet it never feels cramped. On pleasant evenings, the rooftop opens up, giving you that breezy, open-air setting perfect for long conversations and longer evenings.

What To Eat (Don’t Skip The Small Plates)
Kolkata’s adda culture is built around quick, fried bites that keep the conversations flowing — and Jollygunj gets that right.
Must-Try Starters:
Calcutta Vegetable Chop – Beetroot-heavy, crispy outside, nostalgic inside.
Nimki Ghugni Chaat – Potato-based chaat topped with crunchy nimki for that perfect textural contrast.
Chilli Butter Garlic Prawns – Addictive, no-nonsense, and plate-mopping good.
Scotch Egg – Crispy potato-chicken coating, comforting and indulgent.
Fish Fry – Proper Park Street feels.
Park Street Mutton Seekh – Bold and flavour-forward.
And if you’re not big on desserts, do what we did — end with Calcutta-style Chicken Biryani. Because honestly, that’s the only right way to wrap up a Bong-inspired evening.
What To Drink
Jollygunj offers 16 quirky shots, from lemony “Nimbu Bong” to khatta-inspired creations.
If you prefer something more relaxed:
Jolly Jolt – A jackfruit-based cocktail that pairs surprisingly well with fried appetisers.
Tarbooj Picante – Watermelon + passion fruit + chilli notes. Refreshing with a subtle kick.
Perfect for weeknights. Even better on weekends.
Why It Works
JP Nagar has its share of bars, but Jollygunj stands out because it’s not just about loud music or large spaces — it’s about mood.
It captures:
Rooftop energy
Heritage-inspired interiors
Kolkata street flavours
Easygoing adda culture
It’s ideal for friend catch-ups, casual celebrations, and those “let’s just step out for one drink” evenings that turn into three hours.

If you love rooftop scenes but are bored of predictable menus, Jollygunj makes a solid case for something different.
We’re going back for the Chelo Kebab and a full round of those 16 shots — preferably on a packed Saturday night.
